SMC Children Services provides residential care services for Separated Children Seeking International Protection in Ireland.
Our vision
To be the benchmark for excellence in the childcare sector and provide the highest quality care and security to vulnerable children across the country.
Our residential homes give young people a safe, comfortable and stable place to live, supported around the clock by a dedicated team of social care professionals.
Each young person is cared for as an individual, with support for their health, education, wellbeing and independence, and with respect for their culture, language and background. Our teams share in everyday routines and special occasions alike, helping young people settle, build trusting relationships and look forward to the future.

Safeguarding is at the centre of everything we do.
Safe recruitment and training
Our staff are trained in Children First and TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention), and every applicant is asked to consent to a Garda check and provide three references as part of safe recruitment. We work closely with the professionals involved in each young person's care.
Protecting privacy
We protect young people's privacy at every step. We do not publish identifying details or images of the children in our care, or the locations of our residential centres.
